Career is a big part of my life because I truly like what I do. I choose to put my talents and skills to work on websites and with organizations that contribute to some good in the world whether that be working with innovative companies, advancing the sciences and education, growing healthy communities or protecting our natural resources. I love that one can harness the amazing technology of the web to empower and educate people and improve lives.
I also love the entire web design and development process from concept to launch. I enjoy working with clients to glean their needs and desires for their sites and translate that into a vision that exceeds their expectations. I gain great satisfaction from designing an interface or coding clean, effective mark-up and styles. I constantly look for ways to build a better process or organize more effective information architecture to exceed the expectations of end-users when they use a site. Following W3C web standards, I embrace the progressive enhancement and agile development approaches to web design and development, keeping separate the structure, style, behavior, and content on a site. It's all an important part of effective site performance and great customer service.
